Zevile Ngo - NPC Competitor

I strongly believe that being healthy and happy are two of the most important things in one’s life. Working out makes me healthy and being fit gives me a sense of satisfaction. The conclusion is simple – be active, get your workouts in. Besides being a sports fanatic I always look for challenges. If I stop challenging myself, I would stop growing and improving, and I never want to be like that.

ZevileAlmost 6 years ago my challenge was to come from Europe to the U.S. and start a new life. It was not easy. The gym helped me a lot. Working out was my therapy and it eased my transition. Very soon gym instructors recognized me and they suggested that I become a group fitness trainer. I was very hesitant at first but I took to the challenge. I got certified with Les Mills International and today I am teaching Body Pump and Body Combat classes. I also wanted to focus more on individual training so I got certified as personal trainer and nutritionist.

My last but certainly not least challenge was the NPC Bodybuilding Competition. This is how I met Chris Cosich who helped me to get ready for the contest. Diet is the toughest part of bodybuilding: it requires commitment, honesty, and self-control. But I have to say that having a great coach is half the battle. Chris helped a lot. He gave me a strict diet plan, and then he would meet me once in two weeks to take a look at my body and recommend changes if needed. My body transformed into a much leaner and defined physique. I would be getting compliments every day and that kept me going. The day of the competition I looked my best. I did not win but I had a great experience. The person that I am very thankful is Chris. I hope I was a good student. Overall, it was big self-accomplishment and a motivation to take the next challenge, which might be Figure competition.
